Saturday, June 1st, 12:30pm and continues Sunday at 12:30pm. 16 rounds of match play (10 on Saturday and 6 on Sunday) with playoffs to follow on the Sunday at approx. 5:00pm.
Location: The Hidden Spot 2323 32 Ave NE #125, Calgary
TGP – 200% event with 48 plus players. Estimated 60 IFPA pts to the winner with 48 players and 75 pts with 60 players. MAX 60 players.
Prizes: Cash prizes for Div A , B and Novice dependent on player entries. Less fees. Div A (1st 45%, 2nd 22%, 3rd 20% 4th 13% after playoffs). Div B Top 2 and Novice Top 2 players after the final standings, (no separate playoffs). Pot split approx. 63%/37%. Pot is split approximately 65% to A and 20% to B and 15% to Novice.
Entry fees: (ranking Thursday, May 30th) may be subject to change: $20 IFPA 1-1,600 (A restricted), $15 IFPA 1,601-5,200 (B restricted), $10 IFPA 5,201-99,999, plus coin drop, NO refunds after May 11th.
Format: 16 rounds of matchplay in groups of 4. IFPA scoring (7/5/3/1).
Playoffs occur Sunday at approx. 5:00pm. All games will be selected at the beginning of each round.
The top seed selects game or position for games 1 and 3 and 2nd seed selects game or position for game 2. No game may be selected by the same player more than once.
48 players or more:
Top 24 make playoffs. 3 games per round with PAPA scoring (4/2/1/0).
Top 8 receive a bye. Seeds 9-24 form four groups of 4 and play a 3 game opening round. The top 2 advance from each group and join the 8 bye players for the quarter finals. Then the top 2 in each group advance to the elite 8, and play a 3 game semi-finals.Top 2 in each semi-final group advance to finals and play 3 more games with Papa scoring.
32 players or more:
Top 16 make playoffs. 3 games per round with PAPA scoring (4/2/1/0).
Seeds 1-16 form four groups of 4 and play a 3 game quarter-finals. Top 2 in each group advance to the elite 8, and play a 3 game semi-finals.Top 2 in each semi-final group advance to finals and play 3 more games with Papa scoring.
24-31 players:
Top 12 make playoffs.
Seeds 1-4 get a bye. Seeds 5-12; Two groups of 4 play quarter-finals and play 3 games. Top 2 in each group join seeds 1-4 bye players to advance to the elite 8 semi-finals.The top 2 in each group advance to finals and play 3 more games with Papa scoring.
