Time: Registration 11:00am, announcements shortly thereafter, and gameplay to start at approximately NOON. The estimated games ending at 4:00pm. With playoffs to follow
Format: MAX Matchplay 14 rounds (est.)
Location: The Hidden Spot – DSP 2323 32 Ave NE #125, Calgary, AB T2E 6Z3
Entry Fees: $15 IFPA 1-2,500
$10 IFPA 2,501-6,800
$5 IFPA 6,801-99,999
plus coin drop
Prize: Cash prizes for Div A and B dependent on player entries. (1st 50%, 2nd 25%, 3rd 20% 4th 5%). Pot is split approximately 65% to A and 35% to B.
Playoffs: Top 8 A Final. Top 12 if we reach 42 players. 3 games per round
Top 4 B Final (IFPA 2,501-99,999)
Papa scoring (4,2,1,0), 3 games
MAX Matchplay is a new format that was created for 2023. It is similar to Flip Frenzy but unlike Flip Frenzy everyone plays the same amount of games and will play a balanced amount of different opponents. You will play an estimated 14 head-to-head matches. Tiebreaker is Strength of Opponent.
